Meet the Bagpiper
Victoria is a high school junior and Early College student with a passion for the rich traditions and unmistakable sound of the Great Highland bagpipes.Inspired by her family's Scottish, Irish, and Welsh heritage, Victoria began learning the bagpipes three years ago. What started as an interest in celebrating her Celtic roots—and the opportunity to accompany her sister's Irish dancing—quickly grew into a genuine love for the instrument.Victoria competes through the Midwest Pipe Band Association and shares her musical talents through performances at weddings, memorial services, parades, historical festivals, reenactments, and other special occasions. She especially enjoys the opportunity to introduce others to the distinctive sound of the bagpipes while helping bring history and tradition to life.Reflecting her family's rich Celtic heritage, she proudly plays Duncan MacRae bagpipes and performs in either Black Stewart or Irish tartan. The Black Stewart tartan is especially meaningful to her, honoring her Stewart ancestry and connecting her to past generations.Through The Celtic Charmer, Victoria loves to share her passion for bagpiping, adding a meaningful touch of Celtic heritage and tradition to life's special moments.Get in touch!
